  1. 01

Your site doesn’t block AI crawlers such as GPTBot and PerplexityBot.

Open yoursite.com/robots.txt. If you see GPTBot, OAI-SearchBot or PerplexityBot next to “Disallow: /”, they are blocked.

If not: Unblock AI crawlers Remove the Disallow lines for GPTBot, OAI-SearchBot and PerplexityBot in robots.txt, or ask whoever hosts your site to.

  2. 02

You have a Google Business Profile with your services and hours filled in.

    How to check

  5. 05

Your site has its own page for each service you sell.

    How to check

Count your services, then count the pages that each cover one. A single “Services” page listing them all counts as no.

If not: Give each service its own page One page per service, saying what it is, who it is for, where you offer it and what it costs.

  6. 06

Your pages answer the customer’s question in the first sentence or two.

    How to check

Read the top of your main service page. If it says what you do, where and for whom before any slogan, the answer is yes.

If not: Put the answer first Open each key page with one or two plain sentences an AI could quote as the answer.

  7. 07

Your site has a page of common questions with short answers.

    How to check

If not: Add an FAQ Write down the questions customers ask on WhatsApp and answer each in two or three sentences.

Popular questions

01 Why does the AI name other businesses and not mine?

AI tools search the web before they answer and name the businesses whose pages and listings answer the question clearly. If your details are thin, inconsistent or hard to crawl, a competitor with clearer pages gets named instead.

02 Will the answer be the same every time?

No. AI answers change from one ask to the next and from one person to another. Ask a few times over a week, and count yourself named if you show up in most of the answers.

03 Do you keep what I type?

No. The check runs in your browser and sends nothing to us. Your answers only reach Chapter if you choose to send them on WhatsApp.
